Rebecca N. Beason

Personal History

Ms. Beason, formerly Rebecca N. Pfenning, is a native of Kiowa County, Oklahoma and a graduate of Hobart High School. Most call her “Becky”.  She is a farm girl from Hobart, Oklahoma and the oldest daughter of Greg and Marsha Pfenning.

During high school and college Becky was active in the F.F.A. Organization.  Becky has proudly served as a former Oklahoma state officer of the FFA.

Showing lambs and steers instilled a competitive edge in Ms. Beason that she utilizes for her clients today.  She was blessed in the show ring and has received numerous awards for her animals as well as showmanship, including the award of “Grand Champion” at the Tulsa State Fair.

Undergraduate Education

Becky was a Top Ten Freshman and also named Top Ten Graduating Senior at Oklahoma State University (O.S.U.) in Stillwater, Oklahoma where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in the study of Political Science.  She was a member of almost every campus activity at O.S.U. and still found time to serve cheese fries at Eskimo Joe’s.

Extracurricular Activities

Ms. Beason is an alumni of the Pi Beta Phi Sorority. She is a former President of the Jackson County Bar Association and a member in “good standing” of the Oklahoma Bar Association.  Ms. Beason proudly serves as an Oklahoma Associate Bar Examiner for the Oklahoma Bar Association.

Community Involvement

Ms. Beason is involved in several civic organizations in the community, including P.E.O.  She enjoys church at the First  United Methodist Church with Pastor David Player.  One of Becky’s favorite activities is participation in the “Grate” Altus Spelling Bee for a number of years.

Graduate Education

Ms. Beason is a proud recipient of a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from the Dedman School of Law at Southern Methodist Univeristy in Dallas, Texas.

Legal Experience

Ms. Beason is admitted to practice law in the State of Oklahoma and in the United States District Court, the Western District of Oklahoma.

Ms. Beason previously served as an Assistant District Attorney for Oklahoma Judicial District III and had numerous trials as an assistant district attorney. Such criminal trials included, but are not limited to: (a) murder, (b) child abuse, (c) manufacture of methamphetamine, (d) distribution of a controlled dangerous substance, and (e) shooting with intent to kill.

Ms. Beason entered private practice in 2003 and opened the Beason Law Firm, P.L.L.C. She currently serves clients in a variety of cases in the areas of bankruptcy law, appellate law,  family law, adoption, guardianship, dissolution/divorce, business formation, criminal defense, civil litigation and criminal defense litgation, wills, trusts and probate.
